CAR11 Baker's Lodge

The site was lovely.

The hot tub was dirty and water was not changed between guests, leaving a scum around the hot tub and in the water. The lodge was dirty. All blinds on the windows were broken. No plastic glasses for hot tub provided. No recycling on the site. Misleading info about taking pets, wanted to add an additional charge.

The lodge was gorgeous inside and out. Hot tub was an added bonus, kids loved it. Having Wifi was handy for us all. We would definitely stay here again as it had JJs on site who did lovely food and drinks, a shop and garage nearby and the city centre was only a half hour drive away. The lodge was extremely comfortable and clean and the staff were polite and friendly.

Someone in a lodge not far from us was up past midnight making a noise outside having a little party on the first night but the second night was better. This is obviously something Prestige cannot control and it could happen anywhere. Also in the instructions we received we were told if the hot tub needed turning down from 36 degrees it could be done, when we rang to get it done as the hot tub was 40 degrees we were told its set at that and can't be changed.

disgusting hot tub, green Algi and staff unhelpful we want for my wife’s birthday with our daughter and only once did we use the hot tub, this is when we realised how disgusting it was, it also turned all our clothes green which are now stained? I asked for someone to come and resolve, this didn’t happen first night so I had to request again the next morning, 2 guys turned up, fags in gobs and said we are sorry but we forgot to clean your tub from the previous users - disgusting after we got in it! they poured something in and filled it up as it was half full, they was embarrassed by at it and couldn’t wait to leave, they told me to leave it for an hour and it will be fine - it wasn’t, if anything it was worse! I asked on another 3 occasions for which nobody bothered helping/resolving I am awaiting a call from the management team to discuss my dreadful weekend which cost £500! the furniture on the balcony was also knackered so it’s a good job we brought our own chairs, why wasn’t this raised before we was given the keys?

Location, lodge itself

Too many rules for staying at the lodge, toilets difficult to flush. Asked for later check out time in advance but owners did not get back to me until the day we stayed with a rejection of request. We will have to wait up to 10 days for return of security deposit. Why 10 days ? Seems unfair and unnecessary.
