Little Sussex House

We love Little Sussex House and have stayed there several times. Its location is just perfect, in the very heart of historic Rye, on a quiet and picturesque cobbled street, yet directly opposite Lamb House, a beautiful intimate National Trust property, with a lovely garden, where the novelist Henry James lived in the early years of the twentieth century. The cottage itself is a delightful place to stay, with a fully equipped kitchen, a living-room with TV/DVD, and downstairs toilet on the lower floor, and two bedrooms and a good bathroom, with another toilet, on the upper floor. Everything in the cottage is maintained to a high standard. The friendly and very helpful hosts live very close by. We highly recommend Little Sussex House for your visit to the delightful town of Rye.

We have stayed in Little Sussex House several times. Perfectly located in the very historic heart of Rye, it has everything you could possibly want for a holiday home - a clean and well-equipped kitchen, a spacious living-room, two excellent bedrooms, a very good bathroom and the peace and quiet of a narrow pedestrian street directly outside, yet within a few moments walk of everything that Rye has to offer. In addition, the very pleasant and helpful hosts live very close by.

Comfortable and perfect location

We have stayed several times at Little Sussex House and we appreciate it more and more each visit. It offers us everything one could want when choosing a holiday break in beautiful Rye - an attractive and charming cottage in a quiet and peaceful location right in the heart of the town, on a picturesque and cobbled pedestrianised street, yet within a few moments walk from all the delights and amenities that Rye has to offer and directly opposite Lamb House, a discreet, yet lovely National Trust property, with a beautiful secluded garden. Little Sussex House itself has two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and an upstairs bathroom with an additional toilet downstairs. Everything is immaculately maintained and clean. In the living - room there is a TV, DVD player with a good selection of discs plus a small collection of books. The very friendly and pleasant hosts are very professional in all practical matters like settling one into the cottage and offering advice etc.
