Lovely house next to Euchan River

Rural location.

Lovely to return to the cottage that I’d originally visited when my Uncle and his family lived there more than 40 years ago!

Beautiful place among nature, the magical sound of the river, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen.

The things that made it perfect were; it is detached so the children and dogs can be themselves. The cottage is surrounded by garden, has a BBQ area & seating table and even a trampoline. It's a short walk to an area easy to dip in the river that runs infront of the cottage. The river can be heard peacefully from the bedrooms. I was blown away by the chest of children's toys in the bedroom and how house is fully equipped to host children and dogs with a cot and selection of dvds, laundry tablets and everything for a cuppa when you arrive. I loved how spacious the house is but for me most of all it's decorated so beautifully that you just feel complete peace as if you're at home, this is so tastefully done and is exactly what I look for in a holiday stay! 100% cosy!

Easy check in. Lovely quiet location. Nicely decorated. Books and games for kids which was very thoughtful.

Could have been slightly cleaner (dish rack was dirty and dirty cleaning materials left) Towels and bedding didn’t have a nice smell (possibly smelly tumble dryer or left to dry in a damp room?)

Location, stunning property, facilities, quietness. Fabulous walks and local facilities. Owners were helpful and friendly.

The beds, the size & the warmth of the property.

There is no direct access to the garden from the property, making it difficult to take a dog out in the dark. Paint & rooms tired/worn looking. Media system outdated. Childrens toys should be binned or regularly maintained. Out of owners control, but on arrival, property was musty & dirty smelling from previous renters misusing the property.
