Stags View,Unique eco cabin, Dartmoor views

Great views. Privacy. Good location for Dartmoor. Querky and rustic.

Quite close to the A38 so there was background traffic noise.

The stunning location of the cabin, the peace & the beautiful views made a perfect, wonderful overnight stay. The bed was so comfortable & perfect height to be able to see the stunning views when waking up. The host Richard was very friendly & pleasant & told us a lot about the location which was lovely.

There was nothing to dislike.

This little cabin is an absolute gem & a very rare find! Completely secluded but also provides you with everything you could possibly want for your stay. The views are stunning & Richard is a fabulous host. There is a swimming pond (which we didn’t use this time around) & plenty of room for your dog to run around. Dotty the Dalmatian is gorgeous & you can invite her in if you wish - we loved her. Unfortunately we didn’t see the deer this time, but got up early for a beautiful sunrise & some rabbits. The local town is a very short drive from Monument Field & has a lovely cafe/hotel & a Co-op for supplies. We will definitely be booking again - thank you!

The only thing is that you can hear the main road, but honestly - you wouldn’t get these views in a five star hotel so why worry!

Views to die for and the comfiest bed!

This was something Completely different, if you take note this is not a holiday camp or hotel you will enjoy the remoteness and the fact the view from the window becomes your new TV, Although we did not meet the host we had good communication through message service with directions etc. Also even though you are technically "off grid" you are still close to lots of places of interest. There is also a pub / restaurant a very short walk away - you WILL need a headlight or torch at night......it is very dark

Initially the fact that there was no door key, it felt wrong but we laughed about it, we took what valuables we had out with us...and strangely no one stole our laundry. The A38 can also be heard, the volume of this can vary depending on the wind direction whilst it can sometimes spoil the peacefulness it would not stop me returning.

It's a lovely location, very quiet and immerse in nature. It's a fantastic spot for walking and sightseeing. Very rustic, the cabin is off grid, so bear this in mind when booking.

We loved everything! However I would mention that being off grid, you need to be super mindful of the appliances you might want to use. For instance a hair dryer or iron won't work! I think it should be mentioned in the description of the cabin as we stayed there to go to a wedding, and it was a surprise when we found out we couldn't use either of those. It's not a negative point on the cabin though, mainly on the type of occasion we booked it for!
