Thorn House a beautiful large house in Witney

Very cosy and setup up well for families. Nice garden and seperate tv room was good.

The location was not good, tucked in a housing estate and right next to another house on a drive way. You don’t see this in the picture and may not of booked if I saw this.. But we managed to fit 5 cars and it’s in a good location to get about.

Perfect location for visiting lots of the tourist attractions within the Cotswolds. Plenty of parking for all our guests, and a nice large communal area for us all to socialise together. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog too.

Very little as it has everything we needed, but it could do with a few more sharp knives. For those travelling with little ones, a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs would be helpful but appreciate this isn’t a requirement for all parties (and there are doors to close off the hallway but the other children kept opening them to use the downstairs toilet.

size of the property, very spacious. Well equipped. when we had an issue with the fan in one of the bathrooms someone came round really quickly to rectify which was very good customer service.

In some rooms the radiators did not work. Heating controls were not easy to operate. No fan in one of the upstairs bathrooms Came back one night to find 3 cars parked in the driveway from next door . Had to go next door to ask them to move the cars as we couldn't park our cars in the driveway and access the house. they didn't rush to move the cars, it took several minutes for people to come out and move them. The following morning whilst packing up the cars there was a truck blocking the driveway delivering stock to the same house next door who appear to be running a business from their premises. Fortunately we were not in a rush and took 30 minutes to pack the cars during which time the truck left. After talking to the neighbours this seems to be a common problem of next door using the driveway of Thorn house to run their business and having their employees park there. This needs to be rectified as they will continue to impact those staying at your property

Perfect size for us . Good facilities and good base for blenheim. Loved the Christmas tree and of course Santa in the corner

Large, spacious house with everything we needed for a weekend stay with a group of friends and our kids. Hosts were very responsive and also kindly allowed us to have a later check-out.

Beds weren't the most comfortable (in the room we stayed in) but fine for a weekend

Plenty of space for everyone. Worked well with adults and children.

Traffic noise from early morning. Bins fairly full on arrival.

The house was very spacious, the kitchen and dining area was more than big enough for 9 of us and the facilities were perfect for what we needed. It was a lovely surprise to be greeted by plates of yummy cakes!! The communication from Pauline was very clear and she was quick to respond to questions.

The outside space could have been better maintained, the bathroom could have been cleaner. It was also very noisy at night due to the close proximity to the main road.
