Sycamore Cottage, Falling Foss waterfalls

Lovely cottage, very warm and cozy. Only 5 mins walk from Falling Foss waterfall and lots of other great local walks. Brilliant for the dogs. Our first visit here but we will definitely be back as we loved it!

The sofa could do with an upgrade.

Lovely cottage off the beaten track , nice and quiet how we like it , everything we needed was there , ideal for a couple may have been a tad small for a family

The location of the property met our needs but it would have been better if there had been a secluded garden for our dog. The boiler was set too high and the property was very warm. with no means of reducing the temperature. On our departure day the boiler was being serviced ay 9am so hopefully this may have helped with this issue.

Temperature in cottage and lack o garden space. Also we returned to the cottage on Tuesday evening to find keys in the door. They were later collected but I felt it left our possessions vulnerable.

Ideally located a 10 minute drive from Whitby. It was comfortable and quiet.

Having to strip the beds at the end of the stay. Empty the bins etc. Covid finished. It’s detrimental to the experience of staying somewhere.

Lovely quiet rural location.

Couldn’t regulate the heating, bedrooms were chilly at night and hot water shower wasn’t hot enough.

The location in the middle of nowhere excellent.long walks but very steep in places,Whitby is only 5 miles away plenty to do there.

There wasn't anything I didn't like

Location, cottage was spotlessly clean, however dated.

Dated interior, doesn’t warrant the premium rate
