Lunecliffe Country lodge-Lancaster Gateway to the Lakes

The location was lovely, very quiet no light pollution. The views were pleasant. The place was adequate with a range of cooking equipment. It was warm and cosy.

The place wasn't clean, the double bedroom had a funny smell maybe the carpets? The kitchen cupboards hadn't been checked and there was a dirty roasting tray and I had to wash saucepans before using. The cupboard needed wiping. I found a greasy oven tray full of fat used for grilling, I don't eat meat so this was very off putting as I had to clean it. I found the soft furnishings stained on the sofas and dining chairs. All in all it wasn't a pleasant place to stay due to the smell, it needed more care and attention.

The lodge was spotless. It had everything we needed. We were met by the lovely owner who explained the heating and gave us some suggestions for lovely walks and where to eat

Nothing

Ideal location for a peaceful stay, rural but with easy access to Lancaster city and the University. The lodge was well-equipped and there was even fresh milk, tea, and coffee left out for us. The owners have thought of everything necessary to ensure comfort and practicality.

Nothing to dislike

Everything was absolutely great. It was very clean and comfortable. There is really nothing negative I could say. I would gladly come again.

Cosy and comfortable, presented nicely with good quality settee's and dining table. Very clean. Beautiful soft fluffy towels and complimentary items in the kitchen and bathroom were much appreciated - especially some milk in the fridge and brilliant selection of teas. Views were great, a nicely rural and peaceful setting within walking distance ( about 1.5 miles alongside the canal) of Lancaster city centre.

Tiny, little discrepancy - the microwave was not clean inside, quite suprising as the lodge was otherwise spotless. WIFI would have been helpful.

Lodge is clean and comfortable had nice rooms and bathroom. We stayed for work purposes and it is really nice with nice scenery and views.

There is only one issue which is WiFi the lodge does not have it. Everything else is perfect

Perfect in everyway. Completely enjoyed our stay. Photos really don't show how beautiful the lodge is. Set in the beautiful countryside and peace and quiet guaranteed. Ideally situated to enjoy time exploring Lancaster and surrounding area. Can't wait to return.

There was nothing we didn't like or enjoy.
