Woodland Lodge

Location was in the middle of Forests in the village of Tomich. Great walkways around the property, farm, Swimming pool and game room. Stunning views when driving of the Glen and Lochness towards Inverness.

There was no exhaust over the stove so the window has to be opened. It was ok but during winter months it could be a discomfort. A car is a must if you want to visit nearby places at your own leisure. There is a bus service from Tomich but you got to plan for it. If you are nature guys, this is the best place in the middle of the forest. As self catering, there is not much shopping you could do around Tomich except basic items and plan it and buy it before hand.

The lodge had everything needed, was very clean and comfortable and enabled us to have a peaceful break. The property had excellent facilities for families with children with the outdoor play areas, football area, indoor games room and indoor swimming pool that could be booked for private swim sessions.

The location was great . It was thirty minutes drive from Drumnadrochit and was easy to reach with good roads. We lost network signal after we crossed cannich but the woodland lodges had good WiFi connectivity. The lodge was very clean and spacious. We explored stunning Glen Affric by road and trekking. The Plodda falls and river Affric have stunning views. There were open spaces for our four year old to cycle and there was a small playground as well.We would definitely visit again.

The property will benefit from a little more maintenance. The roofs are covered in moss.

The property is located in a very quaint and idyllic location that is surrounded by serenity. It is quite easy to follow the directions to locate the property. Although the property does have very limited network coverage,the Wi-Fi connection seems to be pretty reliable throughout the property,

Some of the facilities that other similar vacationers around us had like deck chairs were not provided to us. The dishes provided to us on our lodge weren’t very clean and had to be cleaned by us before use
