River View Characterful Riverside Retreat

The views of the Tweed especially from the top floor looking at the three bridges was stunning. Location very close to the Town centre etc very convenient. Loved the quirky decor especially the wallpaper in the dining room.

It was too large for the two of us really but as we were let down by another property this was what was available at short notice. Not too keen on the Antelope's head in the dining room but that's a very minor gripe.

The townhouse was in such a great location and a 2-min walk into town but yet you felt you weren’t in the town centre. The house itself is stunning, and very well equipped. The owners/host had thought about everything, and all furnishings were excellent quality and high standard. The layout of the house suited us perfectly. Nina, the host, was brilliant and when something broke she got it sorted within the hour, she was very quick to respond to any message and was extremely helpful.

There isn’t a lot we didn’t like! The only suggestion I have is to change the pillows in the master as the ones I had weren’t too comfy, and to add a teapot!

Riverview in Berwick Upon Tweed is a stunning property and we really enjoyed our stay. The house has a lovely location and most of the rooms have views of the river and the many bridges. It is a short and easy walk into the town centre (with a nice selection of independent shops and cafes tucked away in some of the back streets). The house is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated - unusual but very tasteful and everything was of high quality. Every room was very special and we had several favourites. The kitchen was well equipped. The shower was strong and a delight and the bath in the second bathroom was a treat after a long day of walking. All in all, we are absolutely planning to stay again and are looking forward to being able to do so!

We had a spot of bother with the Aga as the previous visitors had turned it off (whereas Aga cookers should be on at all times) but Nina was very responsive and we eventually worked out a solution between us. One thing to note is that there are limited supermarket options within walking distance so something to keep in mind if you don't have a car.
