Staycation at Pine Cottage, a newly refurbished holiday cottage

The location for the goodwick beaches was good. The places for eating out within goodwick were in 10 minutes of the property. The bathroom was nice, roomy and reasonably modern. The kitchen had what we expected of self catering accommodation. The lounge was adequate.

The front door was difficult to open and close due to it sticking in the frame. The door didn't self lock the key had to be used, we felt this was a saftey issue. The lounge was adequate , but the sofas were uncomfortable after sitting for a while. The beds were uncomfortable and difficult to get quality sleep on both my wife and myself struggled to sleep even trying the single beds , as uncomfortable if not worse than the double bed. The decor was tired and had damp patches in some rooms. The furniture in the double room smelled of damp, we lived out of our bags.

Mattress in main bedroom unbalanced, one sofa sinking in middle, one saucepan and hoover unusable. Details of oven would be great too. A little smell of damp in back bedroom.

Lovely, specious property. Great location with easy parking outside the cottage. Very friendly helpful locals.

Very soft mattresses, which aren’t great for people with back problems. Firmer mattresses would have elicited a 5* review

We had a lovely little break away, lovely little cottage in a lovely location with beautiful scenery and walks nearby and with plenty of things to do close by. When we got there, we had all the essentials. Beautiful place to stay.

Lovely spacious cottage, had everything we needed well equipped kitchen with added bonus of a washing machine. Beds were super comfortable and everything was very clean. There’s a nice little outside area that gets the sun in the morning. The cottage is perfectly located for exploring the area, it’s a short walk to the station if you don’t have a car. Close to shops and a pub that does food, there is a great chip shop a short walk away too. There is no car parking for the cottage but it’s free to park on the roads, we had no problem getting a space outside the cottage all week.

We enjoyed the thoughtful decor, complete kitchen , laundry and spaciousness of the Pine Cottage. Laura and Navid provided excellent directions to area attractions and we're quick to respond to our unfamiliarity with some basic household systems. Altogether a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
