Fantastic location and views. Excellent property and facilities. Attention to detail was extremely well thought out with lots of little touches that make all the difference.

A really nice quiet spot in the Northern Lakes! The accommodation was lovely and spacious enough for the 4 of us and a dog! The lounge area was really comfy and cosy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were ideal and the grounds and views were lovely! Also great value for money and easy to get into Keswick and to a nearby pub by car!

Beautiful, tranquil location. Red squirrels can be seen raiding the bird feeder. It was evident that the owners had given a lot of thought into providing everything you would need. Well equipped kitchen, lovely quality of decor. Plenty of outdoor seating areas. Also use of a gas barbecue. The owners are always available and are very friendly. They are investing as much as they can in making the properties as green as possible with an electric car charging point, solar panels and heat pump.

I don't really want to say anything bad, as everything else was perfect. The only slight down side is the road up to the place, which is steep and very bumpy in one place, but when you arrive it is all worth while. There are sheep in the next field, which can make flies a little troublesome. Fly spray and a swatter are provided.

The pictures don't do this barn justice. Amazing remote location with easy access to the north lakes with just a short drive. Great responsive hosts who were happy to give recommendations of the area.

Early check out for a late check in. I assume this is due to the host cleaning the property themselves rather than an external company.

Near Howe Cottages - Stable Barn was truly a wonderful stay. From booking Fiona and Mark have been great hosts with their communication, and then during our stay should we have had any issues (which we didn't). The accommodation is accessed via a very well made single lane farm track up onto the hill. The views are therefore amazing and you really feel like you're away from it all. The accommodation has everything you need - the washing machine and dryer are in a communal area and require £1 per hour, so if you plan on doing any washing, take some pound coins. There was an amazing DVD library and games store too, which helped on one rainy afternoon. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together. There's no children's cutlery or plastic plates / bowls etc, so if you need this I'd recommend bringing it. Near Howe is so well located to get to Keswick / Penrith and beyond (in either direction). I'd really love to return in the Summer!

Had the most relaxing few days, beautiful views, cosy Cottage and very welcoming hosts. Definitely recommend and will visit again.
