Beautiful, peaceful location Spotless Good facilities Friendly

We were told to remove and bag sheets, towels Clean oven ,surfaces Make sure all pots were clean and placed in cupboards Empty All rubbish And vacate by 10 am Really didn't appreciate this .. at least allow 11am leaving Also we must pay a cleaning fee anyway .Won't stay again because of this .We were only there for a weekend

The views from the property were exceptional, the windows framed the beautiful scenery so even though it rained I felt so at peace looking out over the hills with my hot chocolate! The attention to detail in the barn was terrific and it was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. Extra CD's, games and jigsaws provided in the laundry room were a nice extra. We met the owners when we arrived who were very welcoming and showed us directly to the barn. We would definitely stay here again.

The location and property was fantastic, The 7 buildings have been converted to accommodation of a high standard with large windows to see the fantastic views. Saw woodpecker, red squirrels, hares, pheasants and lambs, all without leaving the chair! The buildings are surrounded by lawns and a mowed field with plenty of seating areas outside so always some in shade if needed. Our dog enjoyed the walking around. We were in Stable Barn which has 2 very comfortable bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen was very well equiped, large dining table, ideal for games, and the lounge was great. It is on top of a hill, and the route up is via a track, but perfectly manageable for cars without 4 wheel drive. A great pub (Mill Inn) within walking distance and a bus route that was easy to get to on th A66, with various footpaths nearby. Location is ideal for visiting the Lakes with Ullswater 5 miles down a direct road, and an easy drive to Keswick (very fast EV chargers at Booths supermarket) and from the M6. Owners Mark and Fiona were on site, very pleasant and easy to get hold of if needed. Excellent wifi. Would love to come back at some point.

A comfortable and well equipped home with quality facilities and plenty of rustic charm. Location is stunning, so quiet and peaceful.

Amazing view and relaxed atmosphere. Was great to have space to let the dogs have a good run. Everyone in the family loved it. Extremely cosy at night time when enjoying a few wine 😀
