Bank House | Peak District

The accommodation was good value for money. The area is beautiful and our dog enjoyed the walks.

I am not complaining about the accommodation, it was as expected. Unfortunately the village has very little left, the pubs and cafes have all closed. There is a chip shop and a general store. I understand The Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn is planning to re-open, so I hope that is soon, to keep this lovely village alive.

The apartment was clean and in a lovely location, lots to do in the area and would consider coming back

Only downfall was no garden space which we didn't realise until we got here. With 2 doggies we needed to pop on leads for early morn toilet and last evening too. Wasn't a big issue just wasn't clear in write up that no private outside area was avaliable

Instructions for entry in to collect key could be more detailed - e g colour of door etc Need to get used to roads especially at night in Peaks

Spacious, characterful property; very clean and quiet; excellent location for exploring the Peak District. Comfy bed, good shower, strong and reliable wifi. Easy free parking close by. Dog friendly.

A couple of minor niggles: the property would benefit from some reading lights (lighting was subdued throughout) and the kitchen utensils need refreshing (some sharp knives and larger pans with lids would make cooking much more pleasurable).

If your looking for home away from home, then this us for you! Karen is just fabulous, and will help in any way she can. Our 2 dogs loved it. The best dog friendly place we've ever stayed at. Just brilliant!

Absolutely no complaints. For a grade 1 listed building it's great. Open fire was amazing.

Great location, shame that the pub is closed. Great fish and chip shop very near and a well stocked village shop. There is a new sweet shop around the corner and a post office. The property has all the facilities you could want and the owner was very helpful. Great place for the dogs with loads of great walks available. Beautiful scenery on the doorstep and near to lots of beautiful places. Overall a lovely place to stay.

The overhead light in the bedroom may have a fault as it did not always come on. Could do with a shower mat for the floor when stepping out of the shower. Information about recycling would be appreciated as there did not appear to be recycling bins on the property. None of these are real problems, just observations, and have not made my stay anything other than great

Location was great.

Great place with loads of characters. Comfy and spacious. Great shower. Lovely to have a fire. surrounded by beautiful countryside. Loads of amazing places to explore short drive away.
