"Can't wait to go back"

10.0

So many words come to mind when I think back to our stay at the Zanzibar Hotel - stunning, luxury, beautiful, elegant, hidden gem, sexy, calming, dreamy, warm sea breeze with the sounds of the waves rolling onto the shore. A few of the delights waiting for us on our arrival were fluffy white bathrobes and slippers, an arrangement of luxury body products to try. Huge comfy bed with soft fluffy duvet and crips white sheets. Bottle of fizz chilling on ice along with some juicy summer berries & sweet treats waiting to be eaten. Mood lighting and the sweet smell of rose petals that had been what sprinkled around the room. The hotel is full of interesting pieces of art and a large variety of books and DVD that you may use whilst staying at this gorgeous hotel. Downstairs there's an inviting comfy bar & eating area with a hidden sunny Zen garden out back. We stayed in the South America suite and fell in love with this beautiful and tranquil room with stunning sea view and a bath made for two. We decided to order takeout and watch the world go by from our comfy two setter sofa whilst sharing a bottle or two of fizz. After waking up fresh and ready for some sea air we took a stroll along the sea front and on our return we enjoyed a steaming rain forest shower. This was followed by yummy breakfast in our room with a cheeky glass of buck fizz to send us on our way. We were both very sad to leave and say goodbye to this gorgeous hotel with a friendly and attentive team that where always on hand to help with a smile, even when I phoned them late at night to ask were the hidden light switch was located. My last few words on leaving the Zanzibar were "I cant wait to come back"

"Nice Hotel But location is not in their favour"

8.0

Stayed for one night in ‘The Moroccan Room’ Hotel is not located centrally to The Old Town or New. The Pier is very close but even that is situated out on a limb from the rest of The Town. Quite a trek 20mins or more to walk to the Old Town. The Pier has had it’s controversy over the years and reflects a lack of businesses to cater for the tourists. The Hotel is situated in an HMO area and the local residents are very busy purchasing in the connivance store next door. The Council even provide a sheltered Bench Opposite with a lovely Sea View to accommodate Some Lost Souls. The Hotel is Lovely, so much attention to detail. I only booked because of their website reflected Imagination and creativity to base the rooms from beautiful countries. I was slightly disappointed with The Moroccan Room. The Bed in the mezzanine was too tight in height. Myself and my partner banged our heads on the way to the toilet at night. The spiral staircase has to be negotiated carefully be it up or down. The heat in the room was very stuffy, we requested a fan which was kindly put in our room. Even with the window fully open it was still the same. Everything else in the room was great. With nice little cakes to eat on our arrival. Breakfast was excellent for the choice and I could not fault it or suggest improvement. One thing did concern me was that that the Hotel does not have any reception of duty manager after 10.00pm....... All in All they are doing an excellent job. I wish them well.
