Fifty Shades

The location was perfect only a 10 to 15 minute walk into the centre of York and the accommodation was perfect for a family of four offering all the facilities that you could want in a clean and comfortable house.

Nothing everything was fine.

The property is a short walk from the city. It is furnished well, and there is free in street parking, though the road is tight (but we were pre-warned about it). The beds are rock hard, the sofa no more comfortable. So none of the 4 of us slept well, all having back pain issues, particularly in the mornings.

The host. I had detailed previous, very bad experiences, given information over and above what they needed, to explain why we needed access to the code for the key box early. They refused. Thought telling me it's their business would be reassuring - it was patronising. Then, the night before travel, messaged to say I should "find somewhere else to stay". Leaving a woman with high blood pressure, and chronic disabling health issues at risk of a heart attack or stroke. Due to the stress of not knowing if we were going to have anywhere to stay to take my Son to University.

The entire home was very clean and cosy. Decor was super adorable, and the bathtub was big. Well supplied kitchen, and I wished we could have stayed another night. Very kind owner, great place to stay overall!

The door of the bathroom doesn't lock, so if you're a group you need to be mindful if there's someone in there.
