Charming modernized country cottage Near Mere, Wiltshire

Really lovely cottage, in a great locstion

The garden was beautiful, the house itself was very cosy and perfect for a couple’s weekend away. Had a great few days.

Great cottage Great location. Great price.

There was a big issue with not being able to get I to the cottage for around 2hrs when we got there around 8pm. Instructions were incorrect and it seems we had not been given a code for a key. Great neighbours helped us out but we were lucky around 2hrs later somebody was able to remember the key code. We got in eventually but we had a bit of a wasted evening and was not able to make the pub on time for food. We were considering book another hotel which was not great TBH and would have cost us. Booking.com were useless. The owner did apologise later on the miscommunication. But sort of ruined a first night for us as it was a birthday treat for girlfriend. I would stay again as it was nice once we were in.

Quiet rural location but close to the local village as well.Perfect for a short stay.

Well presented, clean and modern yet rustic cottage in a fantastic location! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet getaway.

The location was really convenient for the A303 but you wouldn't know it was on the doorstep. The garden is stunning and very well cared for, with gorgeous sunsets over the wild flower meadow! The cottage is beautifully presented, immaculately clean, and really well renovated with a great, very well equipped kitchen. If you're thinking of a new kitchen, go and stay here and see what drawers can do for you rather than cupboards. It's been very well thought out, and with great taste. Fish and chip shop down the road as well as a nice pub/restaurant within easy walking distance. Loved the hammock as well on a barmy evening under the shade of the cherry tree! A real gem that you won't regret booking from the minute you pull up in the drive. You will, however, feel sad to leave.

Position was excellent. Exactly what we wanted, close to family and friends. Beautiful cottage and very well looked after. Views from upstairs wonderful. The Walnut Tree pub, where we had been before was within walking distance, and we would definitely recommend it. Would we stay there again, yes we would but would like to be warm!

It was cold in the evening, the owner left instructions for heating, but nothing worked, upstairs or down. It also came as a shock to find it was actually someone's house where they lived. Didn't like the fact that another person's clothes were in the wardrobe etc, etc, their food in the fridge and cupboards. The staircase was extremely dangerous, no hand rail.
