Retreat Lodge

Everything. Most beautiful house, in the most beautiful location. Was very very peaceful, and so scenic. We had amazing walks around the grounds , forests and mountains. The beds were massive, and so comfy. The kitchen was spotless, and had enough kitchen utensils for the four of us. I loved the oven, was very handy, I am really tempted to buy one. We didn't go inside much, the weather was glorious, and we had the best porch ever, with alot of seats and cushions, and a hammock, and no matter what direction you faced, you had a view of the forests. So comfortable. And we had a fire, and Joe had left us more than enough logs to keep er lit. The host Joe was an absolute legend. Such an interesting man, with great stories and the voice to match. He played some beautiful tunes, and we will be forever thankful for this. My perfect house in the best location. Will rave about this trip forever.

Perfect relax retreat,haven,family get away Feeling like being in nature and very natural surroundings. The owner was so friendly,made us feel at home. Definitely will be back. An amazing find .

Very little to complain about to be honest.

Ideal place to visit for rest and relaxation. Joe is doing something special here and creating an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily living. One bite at a time. There is nothing more enjoyable than returning at night and lighting the outdoor stove, cracking open a bottle and taking in the silence of the evening. We even had our own fox visit us for a chat each evening. Overall, a place of peace and tranquillity.

More comfortable mattress for the old weary bones

The Retreat Lodge was exactly what we needed. Cozy, calm & clean space with beautiful views. Joe was so welcoming & knowledgeable of the area. Highly recommend & will definitely be returning.

Location was excellent, view was excellent, the house had all all the necessities. Joe, the host was very nice and hospitable. Fireplace on the covered porch was very nice. Joe always had logs and kindling available if you want to light the fire while drinking a beer on the rocking chair contemplating existence.

The photos make it seem like the house is by itself but it is directly attached to the house beside. It did not cause a problem i just thought it was off by itself.
