Applecote a studio apartment for two Rye, East Sussex

This was are second visit and we always wanted to come back

Tried different ways to contact the owner by email, didn't know if we got through

It was so comfy and cozy! On. A quiet street with nice neighbors, and a beautiful garden.

The location was very secluded and quiet but in easy reach of Rye.

The wet room bathroom was very small and didn't drain that well.

The property was within walking distance of Rye town and buses ran at the top of the lane. The bed was comfortable and the outside space was delightful

The welcome strawberries should have been in the fridge, they had been out in the warm all day and were starting to turn. No side plates for toast or cake. Eco lighting was too poor to read by in bed, I used my torch. There was no plug in the wash basin. The duvet was too thick for summer. Too many cushions. Sorry!

We had a very happy stay in this beautiful little house. We had everything we needed and we thought it was so lovely to be away from the bustle of beautiful Rye. We visited Smallhythe and Great Dixter by bus very easily and enjoyed lovely walks from the property. The small garden was delightful to sit in. Shady in the hot weather. Perfect. We were sad to leave.

Applecote was a lovely apartment with everything we needed. The location was great as there were so many local footpaths to take our dog for a walk; we saw lambs, rabbits and a fox. Sitting on the terrace under the apple tree was peaceful as we loved listening to the blackbird and robin. It was an easy 15 minute walk downhill into Rye and was very close to a pub and the micro brewery. The hosts were lovely; we had flowers and Easter eggs on arrival and they were on hand for a chat. The bed was very comfortable too so all in all, it was a very restful stay.

Beware of the very hot water.

This was a beautiful little cottage and so comfortable. It is in a perfect location for Rye - close enough to walk into town but in a quiet and secluded location. We loved our stay and would recommend Applecote.

There was no hairdryer but the host brought one in as soon as we queried it. Also, the water was extremely hot but, again, we told the host and she was going to look into it. Also, the instructions given by the holiday company about how to access the property need to be updated.
