Glebe House Cottages

The property was amazing lots of character and was a lovely size We liked that they had built in stair gates at the bottom and top of the stairs and everything was clean and it had a lovely cosy feel to it, the whole location was beautiful and the grounds are amazing my favourite was the pool area a nice size pool which was lovely and warm as heated also around the pool it had comfortable chairs to chill out on, also a bonus dog friendly as well. Would definitely stay here again. Also we didn’t know they do Weddings and the new building to do them inside is amazing. Staff absolutely fantastic.

In the court yard you could use the chairs and tables we found them not to be that comfy and preferred to sit round the pool area on the seats they had there. This was our preference and does not reflect on such a lovely place to stay it would not put me off staying again, if the chairs were still the same.

Beautiful location and buildings. Peaceful and exceptionally clean. Loved the heated pool for an early morning and afternoon swim. Helpful staff.

Interconnecting cottages made it easier for the holiday to be a success for our extended family. We were able to use both kitchens simultaneously to prepare and serve meals. The swimming pool went down well with the toddler and teenagers in the group. As did the Games Room. We also appreciated the easily accessible Laundry Room. There were plenty to do around the area and the newly re-opened village shop was very handy. The local pub made our large family group feel welcomed.

The distance we needed to travel to the cottage - we drove more than six hours each way! Also, a few large pots/pans would have been handy, plus if essentials like salt and cooking oil were stocked in the kitchen we would have had a better first impression when we started cooking our first meal (nb: these were brought over when we contacted the reception).

It was a lovely place to stay , quiet and everything you might need .

One small criticism would be the large shower head leaked cold water and was badly corroded.

We liked absolutely everything! Beautiful house, magical gardens and wonderful secret woodland.... the children had so many adventures exploring Glebes grounds and found the granary so cosy. Hosts were so friendly ....we cant wait to visit again.

The grounds were nice. The room was very nice, there was a pool (not open while there) and a games room.

The wifi is 2-3mb download not good enough to do anything with at all. Phone signal is awful too. Its in the middle of nowhere, no where delivered food but 1 Indian that charged £15 for delivery. The kitchen had no useful cookware so had to ho buy a frying pan and baking tray. Nearest shop was 10min drive.
