Casa Leonarda - Stone house near Motovun in Central Istria, terrace with views

Sehr ruhige Lage - ideal um nach einem hektischen Tag in den Touristenhochburgen runterzukommen. Top Ausgangspunkt für Rennrad- und Gravelbiketouren. Der Parenzana Trail, auf dem man von Triest bis Porec graveln kann, liegt direkt vor der Tür. Aber auch unzählige asphaltierte Straßen laden dazu ein, um mit dem Rennrad Höhenmeter und Kilometer zu sammeln. Motovun ist mit dem Auto nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Dort kann man schön spazieren gehen und zu Abend essen. Aber auch die Strände von Porec und Novigrad sind relativ schnell mit dem Auto oder Fahrrad zu erreichen. Das Haus erstreckt sich über drei Etagen und jede Etage verfügt über eine Klimaanlage. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und hat sich laufend via WhatsApp nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt. Uns hat es nicht gestört und es ist keine Negativkritik (wir wohnen in Österreich selbst auf dem Land und es ist hier nicht anders), aber man muss sich bewusst sein, dass das Haus mitten in der Natur steht und man somit auch sehr nah an der für Istrien typischen Tierwelt lebt. So ziemlich alle Tierchen, die laut Internet auf Istrien vorkommen, kann man im istrischen Hinterland treffen 😃! Unsere Tochter hat das sehr spannend gefunden.

The location and host were excellent, and staying in the old trading house added a unique charm to the experience.

There were quite a lot of incense sticks, which may not suit everyone's preference.

Nous avons apprécié toutes les attentions de Maja à notre arrivée. Elle n’était pas sur place mais la communication a été très sympa et ils y avait un repas complet dans le frigo à notre arrivée. La maison est tranquille et bien aménagée. Parfait pour notre séjour dans la région.

Old authentic house (newly renovated), beautiful mountain views from the terrace and windows. Quiet area. Very clean. Caring hosts. There is all the necessary equipment, kitchen utensils.

Everything is ok

We really liked the hospitality of the host. When we arrived there was fruit, water and some beverages. Really nice! The stone house is nice, neat and authentic. Nice view, with beautiful sunset. She sent us messages to check if everything was all right. She gave us good tips where to go and where we could have dinner etcetera. Parking the car was a little bit narrow, but we could manage to get our car(Audi A4 avant) parked 👍

The location is in the middle of a little village on a hill side. A lot of nature and hilly green around you. It was great to light the open fireplace at night. Very cosy and comfortable. The Internet worked well and fast.

The barking dogs at night. Every room is on a different floor and it is a long and noisy way from the bedroom (under the roof) to the bathroom (ground floor). Noisy, hence it is a wooden floor and there is no way, trying to be quiet on the way to the bathroom.

Beautiful old stone house. Very nice interior. Beautiful view over the valley. Peaceful at night.

All it needs is a coffee machine or Cafeteria. Proper sleeping cushion would be nice to.
