Where do I start? It was BLISS!!. Everything you could possibly need. Washing machine, clothes airer, cooker, oven, microwave, toaster. Every utensil you could need.. Gorgeous comfortable beds and living space. Big bathroom with a corner shower. Just a short drive from Letterkenny centre but far enough to feel like you're a tiny speck in the middle of a huge field. The garden is just beautiful. So peaceful. The animals in the fields next door were so great to wake up and look outside to. We come to Co Donegal every year and this has been our best stay yet. On possibly the hottest weekend this year so far,, the garden was most enjoyable. We brought our own disposable BBQ and used the garden furniture in the shed, which was handy! We would be back in a heartbeat! No WiFi but didn't bother us in the slightest. Kids don't have Internet gadgets at home so made no difference to us here. Brought books from home to read at bedtime, we didn't bring any games but we didn't spend much time inside anyway so the kids played on their bikes/scooter outside and in the grassy part of the garden. For us a family the sleeping arrangements were great, just worth noting when booking that the access to the upstairs bedroom is through the downstairs bedroom via a spiral staircase and upstairs is 2 single beds. For us it was perfect. For some it might not be suitable. 100% will be back, and hopefully for longer!!! Love love love it. Keep it up!

My only negative would be that the duvets were very thick for this time of year (however I do understand it's not always this warm!) A thinner duvet with the option to add a blanket if its cold would be good.

Such a lovely cottage and very well equipped - obviously well loved by the family who own it

Only because of my age( 75) the very steep stairs to the bedroom above the main bedroom.

Beautiful little cottage in nice surroundings. Everything you need, with fully equipped kitchen. Very private with plenty of parking space for our motorcycles. Letterkenny only around 10 minute drive away. Great central location for exploring Donegal.

"Not for us. Some strong concerns"

5.0

Convenient to both Letterkenny and Glenveagh, remote enough to have your own space.

There was a terrible smell of oil or paraffin the whole time. Honestly we all had headaches from it. The stairs to the upstairs is also in my opinion dangerous for getting up and down. There was some mould beside the bed upstairs. As much as I enjoyed reading the history behind the cottage, I found it to be cold and not worth the price paid given the overwhelmingly strong smell of oil.
