Kenmare Eco Lodge

Pleasant host, very informative, peaceful and tranquil

Roads to premises are narrow one car roads with passing spots..lanes basically more suited to cycling activities of which there are plenty of routes for mountain biking

Great facilities, very comfortable, nice and warm on the chilly Irish winter nights

Her home is beautiful but the photographs are misleading about areas that are accessible to guests and pets.

The property description should be clearer that this is a room only. No access to the outside courtyard as the door was in need of repair. I would not advertise this accommodation as pet friendly, dogs were confined to the room only.

Anne was the hostess with the mostest she was so kind and helpful, the eco lodge is bed only but there are plenty of excellent eaterys in Kenmare town, I would highly recommend the eco lodge, a little piece of heaven in a beautiful county

Absolutely nothing I couldn't find fault

House was warm & owner was friendly. While its called Eco Lodge which sounds like some kind of "Glamping Unit", its actually a normal 2 storey house.. Owner is interested in caring for the environment and she had house built to a high standard of insulation. Good parking facility outside.

Its quite a long distance from Kenmare and quite tricky to locate on narrow rural roads particularly late at night. Better finger post signs at junctions would assist & you definitely need a car to get there. Beware of deer on roads at night as they could jump out & damage your car!

Location is great, very quiet, deers walk near the house, clean air. House has a very cozy vibe

Keep in mind that you will be living with the host in the house, in the room next to yours. They may occasionally make comments to you regarding the inappropriate use of household items.

Biggest issue was change in acceptable payment the day before arrival. Although Visa and cash payment were listed on website, Visa was not accepted for early payment. We had cash payment but it became not acceptable the day of arrival. This made for an anxious couple of hours accessing PayPal at a restaurant. We know the host was injured, but there must have been some way to collect cash. Milk was not provided. No breakfast. Location sign could be more noticeable.
