Turtle Dive Homestay

Our stay at Turtle Homestay in Raja Ampat was truly memorable. The room right on the beach was very comfortable and perfect for resting after a full day of diving. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean made the experience even more special. It was quiet, clean, and made for a really good night’s sleep. The staff were exceptional, kind, friendly, and genuinely caring. They made us feel comfortable throughout our stay, and their warmth made the whole experience feel special. Special thanks to Franklin, who took great care of our daily planning and was always mindful of our schedule and needs. The highlight of our stay was definitely the dive center. Having it right at the homestay made everything so convenient and seamless. Everything was well organized. A special mention to William, who was very professional, experienced, and patient, bringing us to amazing dive spots and helping us discover incredible marine life we would not have noticed on our own. His guidance made every dive more exciting and memorable. They also sell cold beers and snacks, so we never had to worry about running out of food or drinks. It made everything even more convenient, especially after a long day of diving. They also have a Starlink internet connection which was very reliable. Overall, we felt very happy and satisfied with our stay. It is a place we would gladly come back to when we return to Raja Ampat.

Absolument tout ! Les bungalows vue mer, le personnel adorable et hyper accueillant, les repas diversifiés, les sorties snorkeling et plongées organisées… c’était vraiment un petit coin de paradis et j’ai déjà hâte de revenir !!

Nice bungalows with bathroom. Lovely beach (although a lot of plastic washes up daily). On site dive operation. The manager Franklyn was very helpful over a number of matters. When we had a problem with our eSIM he even offered to take our phone to Waisai to get it resolved. Plenty of fish in many dive sites and on the house reef. Turtles, shark, stingrays, napoleons, porcupine fish, and bountiful others. 3 other guests saw a dugong (sadly we didn’t).

The food wasn’t good. Generally overcooked, dry and tasteless. Sadly the house reef has taking a bashing and only a few parts still have good coral cover. However the sea life is still excellent.

Sometimes running out of some foods and drinks but that is probably unavoidable in a remote place

Super centre de plongée géré par William. Mon fils et mon mari ont pu passer leur open water avec lui, il a été très pédagogue. Bons repas et en quantité suffisante. L’équipe est géniale, soudée et heureuse de travailler ensemble. Bungalows très confortables et propres, avec sanitaires privés : au top pour les Raja !

Les coraux devant le Homestay ont été quasiment tous détruits, il faut aller tout au bout de la plage pour voir un petit bout de récif encore préservé. La pollution sur la plage… beaucoup de plastique qui se déverse. L’equipe les ramasse régulièrement.

Bardzo dobrze urządzone domki, z łazienką i słodką wodą w kranie. Przepiękna plaża z rafą. Miła i pomocna obsługa. Pyszne posiłki (możliwość wyboru - szczecki stół). Bardzo profesjonalne centrum nurkowe. Asul - przewodnik, opiekuje się grupą i stara się jak najwięcej pokazać pod wodą.

The staff, the location, the atmosphere.

The shower in the room. Food could have been bigger portions on the meat and fish dishes. Also could bring more snacks and coffee for the dive/snorkel breaks. The communication with management before arrival was sluggish, and took them a long time to answer essential questions.
