Turtle Dive Homestay

The best homestay on Kri Island. And the best we had in Raja Ampat in general. Amazing guys at the dive center! They do everything to suit your wishes and they promote eco responsible diving/snorkeling. Great base to do half day trips to amazing dive/snorkeling sites. They have a new generator so there is electricity from 6PM to 6AM. Great because it gets hot and you need a fan at night! Also good WIFI when electricity is on. Nice beds to lay outside on the veranda. Snorkeling right outside of the door. They sell cold beer and coke. They have a system (notice board) which makes it easy for you to share trips with other guests, which is a real bonus. Very helpfull in arranging transportation. Food is the best for any homestay we had. Everyday fish and chicken. Veggies. Soup. Fruit. Book ahead! Bring cash.

Wir waren zum dritten Mal hier, weil es bisher unsere Lieblings-Homestay war. In den letzten vier Jahren hat sich leider alles sehr drastisch zum Negativen verändert, vor allem in Bezug auf Eco-Verträglichkeit. Schneller Massentourismus scheint leider im Vordergrund zu stehen. Die einstige Liebe mit der die Homestay früher geführt wurde ist verschwunden, nur wenn Nelly selbst anwesend ist und der neue Manager Franklin lassen Herzlichkeit und Passion spüren. Für die beiden gibt’s die zwei Punkte.

Stuff sehr unmotiviert, meist am Handy. Die ganze Bucht oft voll Müll, den Touristen wird gesagt, es macht keinen Sinn, einzusammeln, kommt aus Sorong. Wenn Touristen Müll sammeln, wird er einfach liegengelassen und somit wieder ins Meer geweht. Dafür gibts statt selbst gebackenem Kuchen, einen kleinen Kiosk, wo Snacks in Einwegverpackungen verkauft werden. Der Müll landet dann früher oder später auch im Meer bzw wird hinterm Haus verbrannt. Stuff schmeißt eigene Zigarettenstummel und -Verpackungen direkt vom Steg. Das Hausriff ist total zerstört. Mann muss bisschen weiter schnorcheln. Absolut schockiert hat uns das Silvesterfeuerwerk vom Steg- im Marine Nationalpark! Der Müll war am nächsten Tag unter Wasser. Einfach traurig! Wir lieben Nelly und auch Franklin und hoffen sehr, dass sie zum Wohl der Natur und in Voraussicht für die Zukunft ihrer Kinder beginnen, umzudenken und das Ruder herumreissen!

Come dovrebbe essere una Homestay perfetta , il manager e' eccezionale . Cibo buono ed escursioni con prezzi chiari . Chiedete la stanza n.9 nel tetto vive questo fantastico animale . ( Non disturbatelo quando scende )

The location on Kri Island is great. House reef is okay for snorkelers, not much on offer for diving. But the access to prime RA dive sites is excellent. The dive staff, led by William and Asrul, are great. Friendly, accommodating and make you feel safe and confortable. The manager of the oproperty Franklin takes a personal interest and makes sure you have a great stay. Overall an excellent place. There were some families with small children and they also seemed very happy here. As with most Indonesian dive lodges, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I highly recommend Turtle Homestay Kri.

The food is a little repetitive. It would be a good change if every 2-3 meals the Indonesian/Papuan menu is replaced by something a little different.

Excellent emplacement sur la côte sud de l'île de kri. Bungalow spacieux salle de bain équipée toilettes séparés. Les repas sont très bons variés et copieux. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Toute l'équipe est adorable

Hamac ne serait pas de trop il est inutile de fournir brosse à dents et dentifrice dans un endroit comme celui-ci cela fait du déchet plastique inutile
