Ty'r Afon - River Cottage

We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en rondgeleid. De ruimte in het appartement en de leuke tuin met zitje, prive parkeerplaats en na de rondleiding kregen we verse eieren, mooie bacon en een kannetje melk, zeer attent. Het appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook kregen we nog de tip van een leuke rondwandeling langs de rivier van ongeveer een half uur, erg leuk.

We denken dat de mensen hier wat vaker uit eten gaan, want het keuken gerei was minimaal.

The setting was lovely and peaceful. The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful. The garden was delightful with the river at the bottom, the trees, the hens and the birdsong.

There was a slight shortage of kitchen equipment, easily remedied if you know beforehand but a mild nuisance if you don't

The cottage was excellent and the location very good for what we wanted to do.

Superb location for exploring North Wales by motorcycle. Lovely cottage, well equipped with super comfy beds and a fantastic shower. The garden was peaceful with birds chirping and the sound of the river at the bottom. We especially liked to resident tawny owl hooting in the evenings. The welcome pack of bacon, eggs, milk etc was great as was the home made marmalade. The chickens in the garden were great company and provided tasty eggs. A great place to spend time to relax or as a base for exploring. Many thanks to Dusty and Ros, we all had a fantastic time.

Welcoming pack was perfect. Lovely cottage and gardens. Hosts unobtrusive but helpful whenever needed. Easy drive into Bala for the evening. Nice shower and plenty of hot water for 4 showers after a long day on Snowdon!

It was a bit pricey but as it was BH weekend and also school holidays and the Eisteddfod week we had to pay that bit extra I guess

Nice quiet location , river views from the garden area & a nice walking trail over the river bridge.

Great location to explore snowdonia national park. Hosts were lovely and we really appreciated the breakfast ingredients!

We had a truly lovely stay here. The ambience was incredibly quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind. The setting by the river added a beautiful touch, and the whole place felt cosy and very comfortable. The interior facilities were well thought out and made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights for us was the unique experience for the kids—they absolutely loved playing with the hens and seeing the sheep roaming around freely. Dustey and Ross were wonderful hosts—warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They went above and beyond by providing home-baked bread, along with jam, butter, milk, bacon, and eggs, all complimentary, which was such an amazing and thoughtful gesture. Overall, a peaceful and memorable stay that we would highly recommend.

De omgeving is schitterend en het huisje allercharmantst. De eigenaars zijn erg vriendelijk en geven je een welkom gevoel!
