Mr Darcy's Residence

Multiple rooms, lots of space, well-equipped kitchen, lovely coffee and a pint of milk were very welcome, good wi-fi, good location (city and supermarket), good access arrangements. Lovely Cowshed toiletries. Comfortable beds. The fact that the bedding didn’t smell strongly of laundry detergent and fabric softener, it just smelt nice and clean. In previous holiday lets we’ve stayed in the bedding and towels smell overpoweringly of bio laundry liquid (very allergenic!)

- Toaster didn’t work properly (only toasted one side) - no big/bath towels - the bath plug in the freestanding bath had lost its rubber seal and didn’t seal properly - not all rooms had bedside lamps. - a lack of moveable coat hangers - The parking situation: this was our biggest issue and it would really improve the property to have one dedicated parking space; we spent much time to-ing and fro-ing with the car which was a nuisance and affected our stay - the traffic noise was significant in some of the bedrooms as the apartment is next to a busy main road: I used earplugs at night but I think the road noise should be mentioned in the description as it was enough to disturb sleep especially early morning, and there were lots of sirens at night - we found the kitchen layout quite tricky to negotiate when cooking as had to keep walking around the table to access the fridge, crockery etc, and spent much time climbing over benches when eating to get up for various things. Couldn’t easily open the dishwasher or washing machine as benches were in the way. All looked lovely but didn’t work very well! - there was loose tea but no tea strainer! -there was wet washing in the washing machine when we arrived - the basement smelt damp with lots of air fresheners to cover the damp smell - found the sentences printed on the walls a bit naff! - a map of Bath would be really handy to include in the info folder

Key Code System needs full instructions - temperamental Hosts' communication not great - still have not heard back from comments sent to them on Tuesday (2 days) Not walking distance from centre as described.

The spacious rooms were great and the chilling out area at the basement with flatscreen TV and the disco lights was awesome. Thanks

No dedicated parking (free parking was available very close to the property) and there was no iron could be found. The staff said that they would inform housekeeping but never turned up. Yet that was a minor thing as our crushed clothes did not make much of a difference though.
