Polean Farm Old Farmhouse - With Large Jacuzzi, Games Room, Near the Sea and with Free Access to a Nearby Pool

Nice and quiet, lovely place to enjoy holiday. Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable resting area with sofas and a coffee table.

Bathroom downstairs (Shire cottage) with bath of no shower.

The quiet friendly farm location, with the animals and countryside views was exactly what we were looking for. The hosts were friendly and helpful and resolved the issue with the iron short circuiting the house, very quickly. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The free onsite parking, animal feeding, pony ride and tractor rides are great for families with young children. The children managed to squeeze in a pony ride due to the host kindly arranging an alternate time as our stay was outside the usual allocated days for pony rides. The nearby pool was another added bonus. Very happy with our first visit to Cornwall. Although the farm was a little confusing to find at first, it is well placed to visit other attractions such as the Eden project and St. Ives. We managed to visit a number of beaches during our short stay and even spent abit of time in the nearby town of Looe. We would definitely recommend Polean farm to friends looking to visit Cornwall.

Property could do with an upgrade of the bathrooms and the very very creaky floorboards! We couldn’t use the toilets at night without waking up the whole household and possibly the neighbours, as the walls are very thin.

Possibility to see the animals on the farm

Drafty windows, cobwebs and dust around windows, squeaky floorboards, poor lighting outside.

It’s everything a country English farm should be. Remote, quiet, beautiful rolling coastal hills, horses, sheep, goats, Guinea pigs, the occasional pheasant and Rooks, Magpies, Jackdaws and even Ravens. Well equipped kitchen. We chose the self service option and stopped in Saltash near Plymouth for groceries. There is a small grocer in Pleynt.

Make sure you read the items they do and do not provide in their instruction on the link. It’s easy stuff but if you don’t read it all you might be surprised. Say yourself the headache by reading everything. It’s not easy to find, certainly in the dark. The one car path and the hedgerow (10’-12’) is very high and you will find yourself head on with a car coming the other way. Just be ready to back up if necessary. It IS remote and a bit out of the way if you are planning a lot of time in Southern Cornwall. All of these things are worth it for the quiet, wild blackberries, and animal pets.

That you had thought of everything right down to a cheese gratter! IT was clean and just made us feel happy with the love could see you had made to make it as perfect as possible. I would say perfect. Tractor ride don't know who injoyed more kids or drivier! Pony ride was emazing .We had fab time thank you xx

The house is spacious and really well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The hot tub is amazing

From the point of booking communication is excellent. Well informed of all the things we need to know & get prepared for. Make the journey & stay convenient. Cottage was clean. Lots of activities for kids including the play room & outdoor play area.

Only criticism is hot water in bathroom sink is extremely hot. Almost burning. Not safe for kids to wash hands & clean themselves. Ideal if there was a mixed tap or if temperature can be reduced a bit.

The location was amazing and only a short taxi drive to Pullpero with lots of restaurants and stunning harbour, it was also close to Looe fishing town.
