The space.

The beds were creaky, travel cot desperately needs replacing as had to improvise with a bedspread then cover with sheet to make it half decent. The bathroom is ancient and needs updating (probably not updated since the 60’s.

It was peaceful and the pony ride was great, on time and Lisa was friendly.

The accommodation wasn't the cleanest. There was dog hair (despite selecting non pet property) cobwebs and toilet smelt of wee. I didn't like that no one was on site to welcome us or for when we needed assistance I tried calling Marie but there was no answer. We had no tin opener there and had to borrow from another guest until supplied the next next with one. There was no signage or map provided to show where the laundry room was and we didn't even realise there was reception until day 3, with leaflets etc. The lock in the door that was open on arrival did not work so we had to try our best to lock it and then use the kitchen door. There is also a mouse sized hole on bottom corner of kitchen door. The guinea pig petting chap didn't arrive until almost 9:30am we tried to call Marie to check if it was happening but no answer. The guinea pig also had a visible flea on it so I would recommend using a spot on treatment for this. It didn't enhance the stay by having no welcome folder in the property, with some maps of local walks and information. This would be a really positive touch, I'm only 45 and happy to use the internet but we felt this detracted from rather than added to our stay. Every other house we've stayed in left a cake or welcome note, which goes a long way.

This location suited us perfectly as we wanted easy access to the coastal paths. This was either a short drive away or we could walk then catch a bus.

Not much really. Noticed on stripping the bed before leaving that there wasn't a mattress protector. Also, although there was special glass in the bathroom window, we thought a window covering would have been better.

Amazing location,comfort,easy access to nearby amenities,shops and attractions. Clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful location, good value for money and activities that are ideal for children and young families. The accomodation was clean, cosy and comfortable.

Nothing, we’ll be going back the next time we’re in Cornwall.

The location.

The bed in the main bedroom was so uncomfortable (far too soft and springy) we had to sleep in single beds in the other bedroom. The shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold. The staircase was unbelievably noisy, even to the point that our small dog woke us up walking up and down them at night. Overall the cottage (Twinkles) was in need of some TLC. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this accommodation.

Animal feeding and fire place

Heating in the bedroom was not working. The maintenance came around but still cold down stairs.
