Munduk V View House

The photos don’t lie. And the gardens are beautiful. I ended up staying an extra night to make the most of the solitude before moving onto a nearby homestay, after having previously spent 20 days in the busy of central Ubud. If you’re after solitude, you don’t have to interact (with the host family) after check-in unless you order breakfast which they bring to you at your preferred time. Local restaurants and warungs deliver to the door 🥘 Stray friends came looking for scraps; I (at first reluctantly) welcomed them but they will shoo off quickly if you are firm.

There is nothing to not like. If you want total silence with the solitude, just bring earplugs. Dawn brings a chorus of birds & critters, and of course the Bali standard of roosters & occasional scooters from the track or road 😅

There was a problem with absence of hot water

Not many places you could stay and wake up to a view like this. You are up in the clouds listening to the soothing sounds of the forest.Munduk is Bali at its best .Check out the nearby waterfalls they are beautiful. Lovely staff,,they couldn't be more helpful.And be sure to visit that nearby restaurant called The Botanist for a night out

Loved this, perfect getaway! Very close to golden valley, red coral, belong and melanting waterfalls. Restaurant onsite wasn't open so make sure you check with the owner before arriving or eat before you come. Nearby are lovely restaurants including rooftop and warung made. Minimart down the road a little further, not on Google maps. The rooms themselves are amazing, little treehouse cottages with a mind-blowing view 💕

It was in a very quiet area. The view from the room was very nice.

The access to the property was pretty difficult. The taxi driver couldn’t drive through the road leading to the building. Good thing we rented a scooter for the rest of the stay.

The view and it had a comfortable mattress

Hard to reach (by car) and the bathroom felt a bit outdated
