Superb setup on top of building looking to the sea. Surprisingly peaceful. Close to beach and the other way to shops and restaurants

Stairs

The traditional style was very aesthetic and the upstairs set up with the day bed, private kitchen and bathroom were good. The one staff member who came to check us in and make breakfast was lovely despite the breakfast being very basic (but that’s about it).

IT IS TOP FLOOR OF A HOSTEL & DIRECTLY ABOVE THE HOSTELS BAR. This wasn’t disclosed AT ALL in listing. We felt very much ripped off by the owners not disclosing this. There are 5 flights of steep stairs to carry luggage, you have to walk through the hostel and hostel bars outdoor space to get to the rooms stairs and the room itself isn’t sealed so we heard every little noise, from hostel residents talking, the bar pool table, the surrounding neighbourhood chickens and dogs woke us up at 4am. The room was so small we didn’t have space to put our suitcases and the local monkeys meant leaving anything outside wasn’t an option. The unsealed walls meant we woke up to a room of literally 100+ mosquitoes. Leaving anything on the bench attracted ants (sweet or not, even water). The pool in the pictures are of the hostel so not private and the fridge was full with the previous guests food! We paid a lot to be there for 5 nights but only lasted 2 days, 1 night. Would recommend to a young person after a good time with hostel goers but not having to stay in a shared dorm

Location was superb. Breakfast cooked just for us was special.

Walking up all those stairs was a challenge. The property was a bit far from things to do.
