Kitchen should be working atleast for tea and coffee.

Its one true dreamy place, everything was neat and clean. Very family friendly. Must deserve many more visits.

It was extremely overpriced given that we had already stayed earlier at another bungalow within the same property for longer duration and for half the price. The host was quite overbearing, half the amenities were unavailable, despite us booking the entire property for the stay. The caretaker did not show us the keys to access the backyard, the utensils cupboard is kept locked save a few utensils allowed by the host. Worst of all, after paying 9000+ for two nights, there are rules on having friends over. He was adamant that they can only visit for three hours and then they must leave. We must inform him exact time for when he should expect our friends and when they should leave before we can invite them. My husband and I travel extensively and this was the most bizarre condition from a host we have ever encountered. None of these 'RULES' were mentioned prior to booking. For access to every amenities including wifi and TV recharge, the host has to be contacted which is extremely odd and uncomfortable since for the price one would already expect the amenities to be easily accessible. Also one would like to focus on their vacation especially if it's a short trip and not on constant negotiations with the host. All in all, I would not suggest this property. There are far better options in the same property with extremely hospitable hosts. The final price shown by Booking.com was 7000+ but we were charged 9000+ for a very mediocre experience. The only positive takeaway was the cook Ms Mary Mardi who is an excellent chef and a very sweet lady.

The location of the bungalow is located away from the hustle and bustle of the main town, a perfect getaway. The booking and payment process was very smooth. Mr. Subrato (the owner) is very helpful and is always ready to help you out. I would not lie that I was a bit sceptical about the authenticity, but after visiting the place, I was awestruck by the architecture of the house and the beauty of the entire property. This will be my go to place, whenever I visit Shantiniketan again in the future. Their attendee, Mrs. Mary is helpful and polite as well. Thank you for the entire arrangement. Will definitely recommend Shantiniketan Bungalow to friends and family 😇.

Everything was perfect during our stay. The behaviour of the care taker & the owner was excellent. They were very co operative & friendly. The bungalow was very clean. We found everything there which we needed. We felt like home there.

We had two pets with us. The bungalow was pet friendly. But one owner of other cottage beside our shantiniketan bungalow created a problem with us for our pets. She told us we could not turn around our pets outside. She misbehaved with us. So the owner of the shantiniketan bungalow should take care that every pet who will come in shantiniketan bungalow can easily roam outside the bungalow premises.

The roads inside the Housing Society are not metal roads. It can get muddy during monsoon.

Beautiful little cottage, quite and picturesque environment.

Very comfortable cottage with all modern ammenities -ideal for a short stay. Beautiful location -present in a gated secure complex, quiet and peaceful away from the crowded streets of the main Bolpur town.The host Mr Ghoshal is friendly and communication has always been easy. The caretaker Mary is also equally warm and welcoming. Finally, It is pet friendly - which is a blessing and our dog loves it as much as we do❤️.
