Cuil Cottage is as perfect as its pictures. Warm, homely, well equipped with the most breathtaking surroundings. Ger is a wonderful host.

Beautiful traditional Irish cottage in a stunning location. A real little gem for getting away from it all. It is a traditional cottage so not big, but has everything you need. No tv or internet which is a breath of fresh air, but if you have to stay connected getting a signal is not a problem. The Host could not have been more helpful.

You're in rural Ireland, so take out full insurance on your hire car. We did and we were very grateful. The roads can be very narrow so pushing against hedgerows to get past oncoming cars is not uncommon.

This cottage was perfect for us in every way. The views from all sides are stupendous. The location is absolutely stunning. The cottage is beautiful inside and out; much care has been taken to keep original features and retain its traditional feel. It is also incredibly cosy and comfortable. The little kitchen has everything you need, the shower room provides lovely hot showers, the bedrooms have plenty of storage and lovely, comfortable beds, and the living room is just beautiful with the fireplace at its heart. There is also a lovely garden at the back with beautiful views out to the Blasket Islands- the perfect place for a morning coffee! Ger was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The island itself is very idyllic with so much to see. This is easily the most beautiful place I have ever stayed.

Loved the peace . The views from the cottage were amazing . Scenic walks to do. . Kerry cliffs . Geokaun and Valentia lighthouse worth a visit as is the heritage centre. . Already looking forward to a return visit .

Electricity calculation could be more transparent but very little to dislike

We are a Ukrainian couple who came for the weekend to explore the local attractions. Based on the reviews, we understood what the main house represents, this is the flavor of ancient Irish life. we got what we wanted, because Irish culture is very similar to Ukrainian. traditions, household items, culture, food and the desire to stand as “OURS” no matter what! a luxurious house with a real spirit of Irish history... Anyone who has been to “Bunrati Kastel” will immediately feel the same emotions....don’t think that when you come to this house, you will definitely experience exceptional emotions. Thank you very much for supporting the national culture and history of your country. Anyone who wants to find flaws can find them even in a luxury hotel...we were looking for the color, history and spirit of Irish life... everything that could be thought of in this house for comfort was done. The owner of the house even arrived earlier, before our arrival, to light the stove, since we arrived late. Thank you very much for your hospitality and comfort. I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday and solitude, who wants to join ancient traditions!!! a million thanks!

If you are looking for an experience for days ago with a few modern conveniences you couldn’t find better. I so loved experiencing what my great grandparents would have. Out the back you have views of the great blankets and the sleeping giant out in the sea. Out front you have views of Portmagee and the sea as well as the Skelligs. You simply can’t go wrong with this listing and the experience. ❤️

The steps to the bedrooms are steep but that is to be understandable due to its age. All part of the charm.
