The Old Forge, Trafalgar Court

The accommodation is so much nicer in person. Every effort had been made to make it comfortable, ie, dishwasher, dining area, clothes airer, towels etc. House was very warm. The kitchen well kitted out. Netflix is included on the telly, which the kids were very happy about. It was about a 15 min walk to York centre, but Rowntree park was much closer, and nice to cut through on the way.

Nothing I can think of

Lovely little house, comfortable and very well equipped for our family of four. Netflix included in the tv was a great bonus, as was the washer/dryer as our 6 month old baby goes through clothes quickly! It was clean and they also provided a baby cot on request.

Oven trays are unusable, very dirty and caked with grime and burned bits, so we couldn't use them. It was very difficult to find the house, even with detailed instructions. Some signage would be very helpful. Let me just say, I felt that if we had arrived after dark, we wouldn't have been able to find it as there's no lights in the back alley it's located in. Housekeeping binned the food we brought with us, owner offered a £10 refund to cover the cost but they never followed through. Bunk bed very loud and creaky, can be heard throughout the house.

We had a wonderful weekend. The house is so cozy. I don’t think the pics does it’s justice, it’s much bigger than it looks. I loved the location, very convenient to explore York or travel around the villages. the host was very helpful, I forgot my Apple Watch in the property, 2 days later I received it in London. I am going to book again in the summer breaks.

A little difficult to park in, as the place is located at a small and narrow alley, but the house worth the effort.

we were in large van so parking was a bit of a pain but managed on street around the corner

Overall Cleanliness. peaceful area. decor smart snd tidy. Kitchen facilitles.

Lovely property in a great location. 5 mins drive to the centre of York. Ideal for dogs with the fenced garden. Very quiet at night so a good nights sleep. Great that Matthew checks in by message regulary to check all's ok.
