The Old Forge, Trafalgar Court

Very cosy. Very quiet. Dog friendly, with a nice little garden. Short 15-20 minute walk to town centre.

Some stains on the toilet seat, and some laundry left in a washing machine, but nothing unbearable :D

The property had everything we needed and a few extras for our 3 night stay.

The property was in a great location very close to the centre of York. There were also shops, cafes and a Sainsbury's within a 5-10 minute walk. The property was incredibly spacious, had all facilities necessary and very clean/comfortable. The hosts were lovely and made sure to check in on us through message. The property was also incredible value for money given the size of the house and the location. Would definitely come back again.

The drive into the property was very tight and required very careful driving and manoeuvres. However, as I have a small Audi A1 this was no issue. If you have a bigger car this would probably not be ideal and would most likely leave with some scratches due to how tight the squeeze is. Definitely park on the main street if this is the case.

Everything was perfect. Loved the fact we could sit in the garden and the dog could play. He was totally safe even if we came inside.

The driveway is very narrow, if you've got a big car, forget it, park on the road. I'm thankful for my little beast

Perfect location, even if not comfortable parking in the space next to the property, there is plenty of parking on the road. Easy walk into the city. Comfortable beds. Good facilities in the house including small dishwasher and coffee machine. Great contact and help with the owners if any questions.

No actual complaints and if any issues felt comfortable asking the owners. Our suggestions would be there needs to be a side table next to the sofa and also instructions on what to do with any recycling rubbish. We also didn't fully understand the thermostat as when we tried to turn it up it told us it would take 1hr and half and the house was chilly for a bit. There was also some washing in the washing machine and we didn't know if we were meant to do anything with this so left it.

Comfortable, clean house.

It would have been useful to have a welcome pack with simple instructions for the equipment (such as getting the central heating going).
