Location was ideal walking distance to all the good stuff!

So darling quaint but still roomy. Plenty of space for all

The setting in walking distance of the city centre, via river and road routes. Access to lovely parks for the children, a garden space, friendly hosts.

We made a couple of suggestions to hosts who welcomed them.

Check in was quick,location was within easy reach of city. House was clean, warm tidy & provided all utensils & linen required. Main rail station is within walking distance but I used taxi the fair was £6.00.Parking only suitable for small vehicles but alternative can be provided a few minutes away at the check in point free of charge.All in all would highly recommend.

Small criticism a couple more bath towels would not go amiss think I missed out due to someone forgetting

Michal and Aggie were super accommodating, especially as I had made an error with the booking. They adapted and made us very welcome. The house is clean, the bedrooms are comfortable and it was a lovely space to spend New Years. We were 2 families of 4 with a dog we never felt we were squashed or getting in each other's way. There is a great dining space and having 2 bathrooms was really great. It was so lovely to visit York, and the town was in easy walking distance (10 mins to the city wall) so we were able to go everywhere on foot. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and for being so welcoming and accommodating.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The property is within 10 minutes walk from York centre. It is large and spacious. There were 6 adults in our group and the house easily accommodated us. There is a large dining room which was perfect for our group. There are 2 bathrooms which meant there was no queuing for a shower in the morning. The bedrooms are large. One bedroom had 2 bunk beds. One couple just used the bottom bunks which was fine.The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Parking was difficult but Michael reserved a space at the Burton Stone. Our other 2 cars managed to find space opposite the property which was free over the weekend. Anyone who has ever been to Your will know that parking can be a real issue but we managed ok. The price we paid for 3 nights at the property was really good value considering it was for the York Christmas market period - a bargain compared to other properties. We could contact the owners at any time which was great. We all had a lovely time.

I know other feedback for the property has said the property is in need of some updating but weighing this up with its close proximity to York and the price we paid, we think it was good value and we were more than happy with our stay..
