Barakah Lodge with Hot Tub

Beautiful location, told friends and family. Even considering looking into buying a property at some point. Loads of space in the lodge, has everything you need and feels very homely. 30min away from York and Malton, perfect location!

The lodge was out of this world, very spacious, clean, comfortable, it's very home from home, really enjoyed our stay, we will be back

Absolutely nothing

The lodge had everything you could want along with extra touches like candles and tea and coffee sachets for when you first arrive. The got tub was maintained daily. Check in is a lockbox so very convenient. Less than 30 mins to York.

The pressure in the shower over the bathtub was very poor however there was only 2 of us so sharing the other walk in shower was not a problem.

Was beautiful decorated, well laid out inside and plenty of utensils and cooking equipment in kitchen. Lodge was comfortable and hot tub very nice. Very clean inside of lodge but did find drinks cans outside on deck. Showers were hot and water pressure decent. Landscaping of grounds were lovely. Location is convenient to York.

Unfortunately there were a few small things letting it down. Wasn’t horrendous stuff but wouldn’t stay again as it’s just not for us as we like some where quiet and cosy. Postcode sent us pass park, on entering park one sign said Park one said Resort we assumed resort was for golf so headed to park and ended up getting lost as it was dark and park wasn’t well lit around lodges and signage once within park to find your way out was none existent. Finally found a reception which had been blocked by delivery van on arrival. Please note in the massive list of rules your sent buried in there in all the info about hot tub is a small note report to reception. This note should be the 1st thing you read at top of info not buried in hot tub rules. As i said before park not well lit and we had trouble finding our lodge number and parking space nether well lit or marked on ground. We saw several people parking on grass and in un-marked area’s they also probably had same issue of not being able to see as poorly lit. Although the friendly reception mentioned paths we’re icy, they were actually lethal as was the steps into the lodge and the decking. Their really should have been gritting happening across the park. On entering the lodge it was freezing cold and took hours to heat through, although once heated was warm. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable. The lodges are actually static caravans with cladding. The lodges did feel a little on top of each other. The park does not manage their rule of quiet hour, nor hen parties. Thankfully the party a few lodges down finished by 1am. Welcome pack with instructions would have been handy. Did find driving in and out of park that all the traffic backed up on road and in park/resort as the entrance was on top of park barrier entrance and exit as well as resort entrance as well as resort parking. Entrance area could do with setting back further to allow more room for vehicles entering and exiting park, resort and car park.

Wonderful place to staff, the staff were friendly, there are plently on things local nearly as well as a good link for trips around yorkshire. Especially finishing the day with a lovely relaxing dip in the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay.
