The location iyself was great and just a short distance from York city centre. The property was modern, very spacious and light.

There was a damp, musty smell in the property, especially in the bedrooms. We had lights that didn't work, not enough toilet rolls, and a dead fly in the fridge. One of the sofa beds was uncomfortable and the general sofa had seen better days. The most disappointing of all was that the hot tub wasn't working properly and there was nobody around to help with the issue.

The Farmhouse was ideal for a large group of 16ppl. Spacious indoors, with an excellent garden area and hot tub. Rooms were spacious and well kept and the kitchen was well equipped (although we didn’t cook). It’s close enough to York for bars, restaurants and attractions (15mins by taxi) but you’re surrounded by countryside which is nice.

Nothing we didn’t like about the property. It was perfect for what we needed. Only comments would be: ensure you book taxis in advance, as it’s very remote and may take time to arrive. If staying with a large group in the farmhouse, there are only 2 bathrooms to share among all of you.

Such an amazing space for my sisters Hen do! We had the best time. Clean, great price, great outdoor space and perfect location for the races.

The double bed mattress was very soft and nosey on every body turn.
