It was good enough for four adult. Location was very good. Closed to everywhere by walking. Not suitable for small kids. The stairs were very steep.

The house need meticulous cleaning. In some places of the house there were spider nets. Even on the entrance door

It’s was decorated very nice and comfortable. Had everything you needed. Location was amazing.

The location

Lovely little house, great location. It needs a bit of touching up and the carpets could do with a clean. I would say that the volume of instructions in the agents contract were very off putting. I was expecting a pristine house, it was not pristine, which was a relief, given the deposit. But, I did feel the need to take pictures of all the chips on paintwork. Not because I wanted to, it didn't bother me, but because the contract was so specific. If youre looking for pristine, this isn't the place to stay. Perhaps making such a fuss in the contract terms isnt necessary.

Comfortable beds, good facilities (dishwasher and washing machine both employed) and proximity to the city centre. Good communications, both before arriving and whilst in situ, with the company managing the property.

Firstly, we booked knowing this was a cheap and cheerful option, not The Ritz, so expectations were at a suitable level before we arrived. Small things like the number of chips to painted walls in the front room and marks on kitchen work surface were one thing, but, having got a large splinter in my foot from the front room floor, there was concern for safeguarding both my 2-year old granddaughter and our dog. My foot remains painful 4 days on. Our 2-year old worked quickly worked out how to unlock the front door from the inside, so we had to barricade the door once in and the bathroom door lock was barely fixed to the door and would easily dislodge with a slight push. Another health and safety concern was the lack of a rubber pedal on the pedal bin with only an exposed metal bar that might have pierced a foot if used and another safeguarding issue for the smaller members of the family. I didn't want to interfere with the Nest heating controls, but the heating being programmed to be at 22 centigrade at midnight seemed unnecessary and was, indeed, unwelcome.
