The Drey - Modern cottage for four in York Centre

Location was in short walking distance from rail station and allYork attractions. Property was in a quiet location very relaxing stay.

Did not have any dislikes.

Quiet location comfortable beds well equipprd

Sofas not very comfortable, Poor TV reception. Lounge is a bit dingy due to dark green colour scheme. Very annoying not to be able to park a car on the street particularly as there were always plenty of spaces I had to park a considerable distance away or pay £16 per day for the local municipal car park. This should have been mentioned before booking

Good location & cute

Cobwebs & needs a good spring clean. Curtains in the back bedroom needed as the blind isn’t sufficient enough at 6am when the sun is coming up. Was far too bright.

The convenience of the cottage was fantastic. We walked every where. Which made me think that we could’ve travelled by train and left the car at home.

I was worried about the £250 security deposit. It made me super critical and photo every blemish and fault. Which when looking became quite a few, so a bit ‘four in a bed’. I wouldn’t have really noticed or cared about the stains on the carpet, stained mattress covers, broken slats on the louvred doors. As these faults are just part and parcel to a holiday let. I was pre warned about the extra cost for parking, which managed my expectation. The parking at nunnery lane cost £88 for the 3 night stay, that felt a lot on top of the cottage stay.

Great location, nice house, good facilities. Home from home. Streaming services on the TV. Good instruction booklet for guest information. Would stay again.

In need of a bit of repair, chipped surfaces etc, missing slats from cupboard, more kept falling out. Stained toilet. Didn't spoil our stay.

Great location, very clean, everything you needed.

We had a great stay at the drey the week before Christmas with family! Clean, comfy beds, warm, with thoughtful details including board games and Christmas decorations, as well as the basic necessities provided, like pots, pans, plates, a dishwasher with tablets and everything else we might have needed. The cottage is a short walk from all attractions in a great and quiet neighbourhood, and a short walk to the train station, so makes a great base for exploring York.
