Holiday Homes in York

Great location, about a 15 minute walk into the city centre or to the train station. We were a group of four female 50-somethings reuniting from various corners of the UK, so the extra Z-bed was very useful, as was the second bathroom! I was in the bunk room, and a mirror on the wall between the door and the bed would have been handy. But the house was lovely and there were enough other mirrors around the place for me to check I wasn't going to scare the public ;) Quiet residential area, very peaceful. Property was spotless and well equipped (not that we did any cooking!), plenty of crockery (read: wine glasses). Spacious lounge and dining areas. Thank you also for the biscuits! Oh, and on our return one evening I was delighted to spot an urban fox wandering along the pavement! :)

Very in depth information booklet, lovely kitchen and comfortable beds, great access to city centre and lovely restaurants and shops nearby.

Would have liked to have been provided some cleaning productions and clingfilm, tin foil etc. Parking wasn't the best but there were some good options near by. TV was a little difficult to use and could not log into Netflix, Prime, etc.

The house was very comfortable and a good base to walk around York. The information provided on the area around the house and about York was very helpful as was the map. We felt that the owners wanted to help make this an enjoyable visit.

Nothing really. Just a suggestion. We didn’t bring shower gel with us as we thought that there would be some at the house.

Nice cozy and comfy property for a family of 5 like us.

Parking can be tricky and troublesome as we need to park about 15mins walk to the nearest car park available and it is pricey for a whole day parking. The cleaner lady who dropped by to the property was rather unfriendly.

Great spacious property, clean and comfortable. Close walk to city centre and yet in quiet area with a lovely community spirit. Nice shops, restaurants and cafes in walking distance and park for children.

Only downside was how loud the bathroom extractor fans are if someone uses the bathroom light in the night.
