Clean, tidy and good location

The house is in a very convenient location and in easy walking distance of the centre of York and sights such as the Minster. The house was comfortable to stay in and well equipped.

Convenient location, quiet, cosy, lovely decor, use of Netflix etc, speedy response of questions asked and was able to check in an hour earlier.

We got the last place in the street for parking and it was a bit tight, thankfully we didn’t need to use the car again the whole weekend.

Location was convenient, within walking distance of the train station and historic city center. There’s a small grocery store nearby. Kitchen was well-equipped and organized. There were enough pots, pans, and cookware to actually cook; and there was enough tableware and utensils for us to comfortably eat the meals we prepared. Beds were comfortable.

Stairs to upper floor are very steep and took some getting used to. Dryer didn’t work well, not sure why. Cleaners hadn’t done a perfect job cleaning; there were cobwebs, dust, etc. in overlooked places and the floors weren’t especially clean.

Location was superb, garden area was nice.

No towels for single room and no hand soap down stairs as stated in info before we arrived.

Great location. Excellent information from the owner. Extremely comfortable furnishings. The Best bath!!

Nothing to not like. Didn't want to leave.

A particularly good location for us as we have family nearby but the house deserves the high rating- immaculately clean and comfortable with all you need for a city break. The stairs are steep as is to be expected in a C19th house and there is a walk into town but that is described on the details. We will be back I’m certain
