Looked great from the outside, park looked well cared for, good facilities, great access to York and surrounding areas.

No attention to detail. Some cleanliness issues in en suite shower and kitchen. Pots and pans not cleaned properly or organised, I hand washed everything and bought cleaning supplies when we first arrived and we bought foil trays to cook. Had some maintenance issues. Heavy storage door fell off on our 3 year old, maintenance came out but struggled to fix it so had to return the following day. Leak from main bathroom sink into main bedroom as sink drain not plumbed in properly. Electricity tripped out when we had the oven, tv and a phone charging, apparently that overloaded the system. I was cooking our evening meal at the time. No welcome booklet on how to work cooker/boiler etc, what to do in an emergency, useful information. Carpets were frayed in places and the TV in the family area was smaller than advertised and was missing some key channels (BBC). I do have photos if requested.

Keys were in a lock box at the property

Lodge was unclean and disgusting in several areas. Cupboard door fell off - dangerous with little children Lodge wasn’t luxury at all, very tired and a lack of attention to detail. The whole area is not child friendly, there is one small play area in the middle of the park. If you want to enjoy a family meal at the restaurant there is no play area but there is ample room for one. I am surprised booking.com don’t check on some of these places, this propert its not a good reflection on booking.com. I have emailed prestige holidays directly regarding the issues we had.

Unable to check in until 16:00 and had to leave by 10:00. Dishwasher was not emptied. Expensive

"Perfect"

Site was lovely, lodge was stunning, hot tub was perfect. Great location and we had a sun facing balcony, we'll be back
