The property is located in an exceptional location. Everything is on the doorstep of the property. Bedrooms are all of an excellent large size with plenty of storage and extras such as hairdryers. All visiting party members said that they would stay again and although we spent time visiting attractions we did all spend the first evening having a chippy tea and drinks onsite in the lovely living and dining area. Games and DVD’s are provided for entertainment and reading materials on local attractions. This is an excellent, comfortable establishment that we would recommend to others. It was an easy arrival from collecting keys and receiving a welcoming message on a chalk board.

Location couldn’t be any better. House was huge, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. It was ideal for our group of friends and everyone loved it. We all made a beeline for the huge squishy sofa every evening.

The beds were a bit creaky, and the mattresses weren’t as comfortable as they first appeared, but there wasn’t really anything to complain about. These little niggles were bearable given the rest of the house was so lovely.

The location was absolutely ideal for our stay in York. Walking distance to everything and a great view of Yorkminster. The addition of soundproofing to the windows was a great touch and meant we could sleep peacefully at night but open the windows during the day to enjoy the buskers too.

The stairs were steep and precarious in places but you do adjust after a day or two!
