Kyo Yukari

Very nice place to stay if you want to stay in less touristy area of Kyoto. There is still plenty things to do around, there are small cafes, 2 big temples, a lot of restaurants and onsen. It is great if you want to experience more local life in Kyoto. The accommodation had 2 bikes we could use and go on it around the city (cycling to the center is approximately half and hour, little bit more on the way back since its uphill). We really enjoyed the stay since it was more peaceful. The house is huge so we didn't even use all the rooms and we enjoyed having so much space, especially the big table in the common area (great for remote work). The kitchen was equipped well enough for us to cook few meals. The owner was very nice and helpful. Overall very nice stay in more local area of Kyoto.

The toilette smelled quite bad but thats easily fixable I think.

We absolutely loved our stay at this townhouse in Kyoto! The host greeted us at check in, showed us around, gave us all the instructions and then left us alone - it was perfect! It was so nice to have a totally private accommodation and experience living in a Japanese house for 4 nights. The house has 2 bikes that you can use for free so every day we just biked around everywhere we wanted to go; Kyoto is such a perfect city for biking. Shower pressure was amazing and really nice to have our own bath. I was obsessed with the Hello Kitty room and happy to be able to have a double bed after only having twin beds our whole month in Japan! The bed was the most comfortable bed we stayed in during our whole trip. I think this house is amazing value for money and I'm really happy we stayed here.

Very comfortable, the owner was very sweet and explained all the rules of the house. House was in a nice, quiet spot, with a convenience store walking distance.

Staircase was very steep, just a traditional Japanese house, but something to be aware of.

The property was lovely! We were greeted with the upmost hospitality when we arrived and we felt very welcomed. Great place to say and very convenient location as well!

Nothing

The Ryokan is lovely and the hosts gave us a warm welcome. We liked that it was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, away from the crowded areas of Kyoto. It was great to have the whole place to ourselves. We very much enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on foot and by bus.

The toilet is downstairs and you need to be careful going down the stairs at night.

Stairs were very steep but expected of the style of home, no dryer.
