Rutland cottage

Great location

location was near the sea great/ peace and quiet no cars away from roads/ all utensils in house big kitchen to work in

The cottage was in a lovely location just a short walk from seafront and supermarket/town centre. It was quiet and private as surrounded by a nice garden. Lots of hot water for showers Plenty of towels and clean beds and radiators were hot so living room nice and cosy.

Unfortunately I hadn’t read the description properly and didn’t realise that the bedrooms were adjoining As we were 2 couples this offered no privacy . The small double room was cold and damp and the set up of a bed in the living room instead of a sofa bed is odd . The furnishings are old fashioned , which I don’t mind , but paint and wallpaper were peeling of the walls and there was visible signs of damp especially in the bathroom. The place looks neglected I guess you get what you pay for So sad as it could be a really lovely place . Despite this we had a great time as Largs is so lovely

Enclosed garden and close to the town Up

Great location , Brilliant base..lovely cottage Maria is very helpful and quick with any issues.. we only had a minor one We have visited Largs yearly for the past 10yrs..And seen a few changes.. If you want a chilled break would recommend. Train to Glasgow is easy and a good day out too.

Nothing we don't like.. we stayed here a couple of times and would and will go back.. if I had to be picky.. the fridge is small with a small freezer box so you couldn't do a big shop.. but didn't matter to us. And be careful walking through the gate my sister rolled her ankle and unfortunately we had to get a family member to fly up to drive us home..Good job it was the end of our week but didn't and wouldn't effect my views on a brilliant holiday
