Porto River House

Beautiful large property. Plenty of space for the large family.

Large, light and spacious house. Very well equipped kitchen. Walking distance to many good amenities eg supermarkets, cafe, restaurants, beach. Host, Francisca, was very responsive to questions/issues during our stay.

Outdoor dining furniture could have been better, especially for a large group (we were 8) Intermittent issues due to proximity to flight path and local drains being a bit whiffy

Very spacious and with a nice view to the river from the first floor. Good parking space and calm street. Host and staff was professional and nice. Nice location, close to Foz and Matosinhos sul but also to Boavista and Porto’s historical area.

Airplanes pass by with moderate frequency - nothing that we can get used to (we were out of the house most other day) - there isn’t any noise during late night though.

The location was excellent (about 20 minutes from Ribeiro by bus or old tram), and the size of the house with 5 bedrooms each with separate bathrooms was exactly what we were looking for as a group of 10 (5 couples). The patios at front and back were also excellent for sitting outside mornings and evenings. The communication with the owner was smooth, easy and very pleasant. We would definitely recommend the house to families and groups of friends.

The house is a bit old and could do with some refurbishments, but that wasn't a problem for us. The warm water ran out before all 10 could have their showers, but a cold shower in the morning is also great!

The house was beautiful & spacious, great location, close to town but far away enough from the crowds of Porto. Restaurants & beach nearby. We were a group of 9 and each of us were very impressed by the whole place & layout - Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay

Communication with the host was brilliant - smooth and easy. Francesca responded to all our questions and needs. She also recommended a lot of sightseeing places and restaurants. The house is really stylish, equipped with everything you need and a very good heating system (which is important during the off-season in Portugal). We had a minor issue with water in one (out of 5 or 6) bathrooms due to heavy rain and with a gate but it did not impact our stay. The house is right next to the station of historic trams and in the vicinity of shops and restaurants. It's a quiet neighbourhood, far from the tourist buzz.

Location was stellar - short walk to grocery store and tram/bus station to city center. Comfortable and cozy home equipped with everything we needed. Lovely contact that was super responsive and helpful.
