High View Retreat

Overall ,spacious and reasonably priced accommodation,pleasant owner. Very difficult to locate exact property as address gives the post code only which covers a 5 mile radius on the Uckfield Road. The name Highview Retreat does not appear anywhere and is not the actual name of the premises . Even the garage next door had not heard of it. Suggest that the owner actually stipulates the actual house name in the address which is totally different but would make it easier to locate

Good location for Lewes/Brighton etc. Handy bus service from right opposite the property, and shop next door which was convenient.

Bed was a bit on the small side and slightly harder rmattress than we are used to - but not too bad.

Loved the garden and the view from the conservatory. Very relaxed owner was clearly proud of the property and gardens. We ventured on the local bus service into Lewis very handy just outside the property.

The stairs leading up to the annex were a bit of a challenge as I have bad legs but I managed. Bed was very comfortable but the place itself was very dated.

The view, especially watching the sunset. We liked the space too. Having outdoor space to hang out and eat was important.

The flat was spotlessly clean, and comfortable. We liked having an outside seating space, the conservatory and comfortable seating inside. The kitchen was very well equipped. Daphne was very friendly, and gave us good advice over a difficulty we had which was nothing to do with the flat.

The map didn't show the location correctly: we hadn't expected it to be on the main road and there was some road noise.

It was a great location. The unit was spacious and even had a lovely sun room.

There was a bit of a problem with the toilet, but it was taken care of promptly.

Nice location, shop in walking distance, very helpful owners 👌 would go back again.

As located near a main road traffic noise was something that you had to get used to
