Pontone on the sea apartment

It's hard to describe just how beautiful this spot in Pontone is - with words or with pictures. It's incredible. The panoramic view over the nearby hills, gardens & farm land and then down to Amalfi itself is breathtaking. We spent so much time just sat on our balcony looking at the view, watching boats coming in and out. The apartment itself was perfect. Comfortable, immaculately clean and classically decorated. It has the bed on a mezzanine level, above a kitchen and a bathroom. There is everything you need to prepare food if you want to. There are a few 'warnings' about the stones steps up from Amalfi - it is a lot. 1100 I believe. Going down it took us about 25 mins, but coming back up it was more like 45 and very good exercise! The scenery along the way does help. Pontone has a small shop (Blue bar) which also does meals (sandwiches, salads etc.). We also visited the local restaurant (Antico Borgo) was very good and takes advantage of the wonderful view at sun set. To top it all, Maria is the most warm and welcoming host. She and her family made us feel right at home and helped us with so many things (local bus advice, directions, recommendations & booking a taxi to the airport - for a very good price!). Grazie mille, Maria - you are a wonder woman!

The mosquitoes! We went in September and got dozens of bites. So just a warning to bring mosquito repellant & wear long-sleeved clothing in the evenings. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay!

Wunderschöne Aussicht über Amalfi und super Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Auch Atrani ist zu Fuß super über Treppenpfaden erreichbar

Schlechte Busanbindung

Tout : l’accueil, la beauté des lieux, la vue, la terrasse privée, la cuisine équipée… Nous avons tellement passé un beauté séjour. Inoubliable. Merci Maria, ta maison est extraordinaire.

The apartment was really clean. We got a warm welcome from the host with some tomato’s from their garden. The location had a very nice view over Amalfi. We also could use veggies from the garden. The apartment self was perfect for our simple needs. Also at we sat outside on the terrace.

The property is located on a small mountain but that’s what you could except from a place called “Scala” which means stairs in every Latin en Greek language. No other complaints.

Puiki dislokacinė vieta, labai draugiškas ir šiltas aptarnavimas. Visi reikalingi įrankiai virtuvėje, pasitikimo užkandžiai, higienos prekės. Vaizdas tikrai atimantis žadą. Svarbus mobilumas išsirinkus šią vietą nuomai.

Pasvarstykite, jeigu neesate intensyviai sportuojantys, tie 1k laiptelių vien tik žemyn yra nelengvas iššūkis. Be mašinos/ motorolerio nerekomenduočiau nuomuotis apskritai, nes autobusai nevažiuoja pagal tvarkaraščius, kartais būdami pilni, apskritai nesustoja. Restoranai šalia apartamentų brangūs ir neverti dėmėsio. Labai gaila, kad nedaugelis nuomuojančių italijoje apartamentus, pasvarsto apie savo svečių miego kokybę- lovų čiūžiniai tikrai neskirti miegui, patalynė prie tokių karščių turėtų būti su didesniu medvilnės procentu.
