Nikko - House / Vacation STAY 40938

This place was perfect for me. Right in between the train station and Toshogu temple. Very convenient. Instructions how to let myself in were clear and upon arrival everything was made ready. A futon was prepared in the bedroom with towel and even toothbrush and razor! I was very happy with the umbrella that was near the front door as the rain was coming down hard during my stay. There was an electric heater in the room which was easy to use, even when you can't read Japanese. The kitchen, bathroom and rooms were tidy and charming with tatami and shoji.

The WiFi wasn't working. The network as mentioned in the email didn't show up and the password didn't work on the only network that did show up. It was not a problem for me, as I had a roaming plan on my phone, but maybe it could be an issue for other guests.

Location was very convenient and easily accessible. Host was very helpful and even went the extra mile by allowing us to give his mobile no. to the courier company that was delivering our luggages. That really put me at ease since I won't be able to communicate in Japanese should the courier company contact me for information.

Lovely to stay in a traditional Japanese house on our own.

No comfortable chairs to sit in. The kitchen could do with a few more utensils and cooking dishes.

it wasn’t comfortable -the house was cold and the heater was an oil heater so really bad smell. it was clean - basically a house nothing special and really not worth the money paid

Very convenient, well supplied and plenty of room for my family and daughter’s friend.

No complaints. All good.
