The place was very small only one room and there was no hot water refuse to let us check in early and made us leave at 10;30 the next day

The location was great, very close to Amalfi and even the town had a few local restaurants, (very) small shops, a quiet beach and a trail head to a nice walk heading towards Ravello or other lookouts. I liked that that there was an outdoor patio area.

Unfortunately there were a couple of points that other travellers may want to be aware of: the patio has a camera so we did feel as though we were being watched plus the “cleaners cupboard” is inside the patio so the cleaner ducked in and out of our patio area for a few hours which was quite awkward and for some reason we didn’t get fresh towels everyday? There was a decent amount of kitchen equipment but no decent knife and literally only one tablespoon… the wifi didn’t work so they connected us to next doors wifi but we had to sit outside to use it (we were told someone would come to fix it on the second day and then told it would be the third - no one ever came) and lastly the shower water doesn’t drain (this seems to be a common occurrence in our Italian stays?) and there is black mould in the shower so it feels quite dirty. The staff were helpful and responsive but unfortunately the wifi was never sorted which was quite annoying.

NOTHING - extremely disappointed with the apartment and neglect from the owners. Please don't waste your hard-earned money. I have stayed in cleaner hostels.

EVERYTHING. Let's start with the price (we have paid cheaper in NYC!) my partner and I paid almost £1,300 to stay in a run-down, damp-filled, ant-infested apartment close to Amalfi town. I almost felt like crying. The apartment looked great on the images, however, this is not what we were met with upon arrival. See our attached photos in this post. Immediately, we were hit by the smell of mould, there was a dehumidifier in the room so the owners are fully aware of the damp walls. There was also thick black mould in the bathroom and shower cubicle (gross!). I have stayed in cleaner hostels. The hot water in the shower cubicle didn't work. We stayed for 5 nights and during that time we did not once see a cleaner, in all honesty, we don't think they have one. We were given 2x toilet rolls for the whole stay, when asked about it, the manager just said a cleaner would be round (never appeared) and then ignored my messages. The WiFi is terrible and completely cut out for 48hours, I missed a work call, again, contacted the manager and she told us to hook up to the neighbours WiFi which also didn't work. To top it off, the place was infested with ants, they were all in our bed at night, I even got bitten on my hand while sleeping. Given how aggressively upset Luca the owner, has gotten with previous customers on this platform (scroll down for bad reviews and look at his responses), we thought the right thing to do would be to message him privately and advise on how they could improve the services they provide, we also expressed our disappointment and asked for a partial refund to cover the extortionate amount of money we paid for the incredibly low quality. However, this time, Luca decided to hide and ignore us which speaks volumes. Needless to say, it was not the blissful Amalfi getaway my partner and I had worked so hard for all year.
